Anisulowo: Police offer N5m bounty

Police in Ogun State yesterday offered N5 million reward to anybody with useful information that could lead to the rescue of Senator Iyabo Anisulowo. 

The Commissioner of Police, Abdulmajid Ali, announced this after a meeting with some officers of the command and security chiefs in Abeokuta.
Other security chiefs present at the meeting included the Commander, 35 Artillery Brigade, Nigerian Army, Alamala, Abeokuta, Brigadier-General S. Danwalis, and the Director of Department of State Service (DSS), Mr. Kabir Sanni. Anisulowo, a former minister of State for Education and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was kidnapped last Wednesday while returning from her farm at Sawonjo in Yewa North Local Government Area of the state.
In a statement issued yesterday, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said anyone with useful information should contact the state command. He said: “The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State, therefore, appeals to the general public to sup-port the police and give useful information that can assist in the rescue operation of the kidnapped victim.
