A drunken
student who kicked and punched a 72-year-old man to death in a savage
unprovoked street attack which he launched 'just because he wanted a
fight' has been jailed for nine years.
Samuel
Watts, 23, was 'out looking for trouble' following a bar crawl in Derby
and had already attacked two strangers when he spotted pensioner Melvyn
Hargreaves on the outskirts of the city.
Father-of-four
Mr Hargreaves was walking his collie dogs with partner Jean Bill, 77,
shortly after midnight on January 2 last year when the animals started
barking at Watts as he approached.
