A 20-year-old househelp, Promise Mbagu, has told an Ikeja magistrates
court 1 , how she was defrauded her master’s jewellery valued N11
million.
Mbagu according to Investigating Police Officer, IPO, Inspector
Austin Imagbe, was detained at Maroko Police station Lagos before her
case was transferred to State Anti-Robbery Squad formation in Ikeja.
Upon Investigation, it was discovered that Mbaguwas employed by one
Mr. Owolabi Awosan living at No.7B Durosimi Etti , Lekki phase 1, in
Lagos. She was trusted and given free hands in her employer’s house.
Sometimes she travels abroad with the family for businesses.
Mbagu narrated how she was accosted at the road, on her way to Oshodi
by a three- man gang, who told her she had spiritual problem implanted
in her face, chest and abdomen.
The unidentified trio who are still at large told her to be certain
of her spiritual problem , they would make her to push out a stone
through her vagina.
