School teacher, two other women abducted in Lagos

A 45-years- old woman, Mrs. Victoria  Iwuala, teaching at the Federal Government College, Ijanikin area of Lagos State, has been abducted.

Victoria was believed to have been abducted her way to school by suspected kidnappers on Monday.
It was learnt that the woman left her house around 7am to resume after the midterm break, unfortunately, she did not get to the school.

The worried husband of the victim, Eze Iwuala said: “ On the day that my wife was abducted, two other women were also kidnapped. The women were going to Seme to buy fairly used clothes. Since their abduction, my wife and the two women had not been seen.”

The abduction of  Victoria was said to have thrown the staff of the school into panic as many, who did not have cars, expressed fear of boarding a commercial bus.

Eze recounted: “My wife left the house on October 30, for work and had not returned since then. She never got to school. She was last seen at Oko-Afo, Agbara area of the metropolis. She left home that fateful day with the hope of getting to school early. I was in my office when  my phone rang. It was one of her colleagues from their school; the caller said my wife had not been seen. She said the school wanted to be sure that my wife was alright.
“ I immediately, I called my wife’s phone, to know where she was, but her phone didn’t go through. It was then I sensed danger; I left my office and returned home to check.”
He continued: “ To my surprise, she was not at home. I also went back to her school, but one of our neigbhours told me that they saw her at Oko-Afo bus stop, on her way to school. I heard that on the say she was kidnapped, two women, who were going to Seme to buy fairly used clothes were also abducted. I’m appealing to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Imohimi Edgal, to come to my aid and rescue my wife. Since the incident, I had not been able to sleep. I don’t  know her condition right now. I don’t want my wife to die.”
Eze said he had reported the incident to Ijanikin and Morogbo police stations.
The Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO) ASP Olarinde Famous- Cole said that the case would first be treated as a case of a missing person.
