PLANS TO ATTACK MOSQUE HAD BEEN ON FOR TWO MONTHS, SAYS SANUSI*WHY DIDN’T HE WARN HIS FELLOW MUSLIMS?

Former Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN), Mohammed Sanusi, now Emir of Kano, yesterday said that the plans to bomb Kano Central Mosque, where over 200 people were killed had been on for two months.

He however conveniently did not give further details on why he made such a bombshell statement.

Incidentally, Sanusi was overseas when the blasts occurred.

His words: “From all indications, the attackers had been planning this for at least two months. I have directed that the mosque be washed and cleaned and prayers should continue there. We will never be intimidated into abandoning our religion, which is the intention of the attackers!”

In any other climes, let's say USA, FBI would have been all over him like fleas over a dog!
Sanusi would have been invited by security agencies to explain such weighty and smoking gun statement.
But in Nigeria, our security agents and agencies are too involved in playing politics and dancing to the manta of some, ‘people at the top.’
Moreover, in a country like Nigeria, where some personalities are sacred and untouchable, I doubt if any of the security agencies will have the balls to invite Sanusi for questioning.
Mark my word, ‘invite,’ not ‘arrest,’ so that he could assist in sharing his knowledge or intelligence report.
Moreover, if he knew that there were plans to attack the central mosque, what did he do about it? Did he warn his fellow Muslims.
Another thing; He knew the attack was coming....was his travelling out of the country, at that exact time coincidence?
