Healthcare workers believe gay, lesbian and bisexual people can be 'CURED'

An alarming number of healthcare workers believe someone can be 'cured' of being lesbian, gay or bisexual, a shocking new research has found. 
A poll has revealed one in ten health and social care workers have heard colleagues express these views - and many have overheard negative remarks about lesbian, gay or bisexual people, including use language like 'poof' or 'dyke'. 
Shockingly, the figure rises to 22 per cent among healthcare workers in London, the poll by the equal rights charity Stonewall found.
And a fifth of staff say they have seen colleagues directly discriminate against a person because they are lesbian, gay or bisexual, (LGB) or provide them with poorer treatment, in the last five years.
