APC chieftain murdered inside party secretariat

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was yesterday stabbed to death by yet-to-be-identified men inside the party secretariat at Amuwo Odofin area of Lagos State. 

Witnesses said the deceased, David Daramola, 40, was stabbed minutes after he walked into the party secretariat to collect his Sallah gift.
The secretariat is located at ‘K’ Close, 3rd Avenue, FESTAC area of the metropolis. It is alleged that the men trailed the deceased to the secretariat. He was in the midst of other party members when he was murdered.
Witnesses said the killers came around 1:12pm. The assailants were said to be three on a motorcycle and had rode into the secretariat where he was discussing with other party men, shouting, “where is the money?”
Another witness said: “Daramola was with his friends when the three men on motorcycle rode into the premises and started shouting ‘where is the money? Where is the money?’ Those that were with him ran away, but the three men surrounded him. They gave him deep cuts on his chest and thigh.”
