EFCC goes after Saraki’s wife, Yar’Adua’s daughter

Senate president alleges smear campaign over report on unremitted $20bn oil revenue

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has summoned Senate President Bukola Saraki’s wife, Toyin, and daughter of the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, Mrs. Zainab Dankigari, for interrogation over their alleged involvement in money laundering.
New Telegraph gathered from highly placed sources at the commission that separate invitation letters had been sent to Mrs. Saraki and Mrs. Dankigari, wife of former Kebbi State Governor, Alhaji Saidu Dankigari, to appear before the commission.
It was learnt that the Senate president’s wife, who is being expected at the EFFC’s headquarters in Abuja next Tuesday, will be required to explain to investigators alleged suspicious transactions in companies she is suspected to have interest.
Sources told New Telegraph that Dakingari’s wife may be quizzed a day before Saraki’s wife, on allegations of fraud totalling N2 billion.
