An Information Technology firm, Citadel Oracle Concept Limited, Lagos, has accused the Nigeria Police Force of deliberately delaying prosecuting a case of N150m fraud involving the firm and some companies.
The firm said the police must do the right thing by charging the case to court.
PUNCH Metro learnt that the Force Criminal Investigation Bureau, Abuja, had been requested by the Lagos State Department of Public Prosecutions in a letter dated, March 9, 2015, to transfer the case file back to the department for criminal prosecution, but the police allegedly refused to comply.
It was learnt that a high court ruling on Friday, July 10, in Abuja, also gave the firm the order of Mandamus, which would enable it to compel the IG to release the file to the DPP.
