Collapsed building: Coroner indicts T.B. Joshua’s church, contractors

The Coroner handling the inquest into the collapsed six-storey building within the premises of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) on September 12, 2014, Magistrate Oyetade Komolafe, has indicted the church and contractors handling the construction works.

The church is founded by Prophet T. B. Joshua. The coroner stated that structural failure due to the combination of designs and detailing errors were responsible for the collapse and not the movement of any aircraft as alleged by the church.
The Coroner also disclosed that building permits and approval were not obtained in respect of the collapsed building.
