Armed men on Wednesday night invaded the private residence of the
Vice-Chancellor (VC) of the University of Jos (UNIJOS), Prof Seddi
Sebastian Maimako.
Although the VC was not around at the time of the attack, the gunmen
shot and killed two persons. The victims were a guard employed by the
university, identified as Owes Jibrin, and an assistant patrol
supervisor.
The attackers Maimako’s house on Eto Baba Road, Angwan Rukuba in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State about 8:30p.m.
But the UNIJOS management, in a statement signed yesterday by the
Principal Assistant Registrar Information and Publication, Abdullahi
