Speaking in the office of the
Director General, Department of State Security Service, IGP Ibrahim Idris said
the aim of the visit was to seek the cooperation and collaboration of the
Directorate of State Services in tackling the security challenges facing the
country. He also told the Director General, that it is only through synergy
with relevant security agencies that the country can overcome the current
security challenges, and therefore said it was necessary for the Nigeria Police
under his watch to initiate this partnership drive, since the constitution of
the country vests the security of lives and property in the Nigeria Police
Force.
