Suspected thieves yesterday burgled six offices at the Osun State
High Court, Osogbo, including that of the cashier and carted away
undisclosed but ‘substantial’ amount of money.
The incident occurred in the wee hours of the day. It was learnt that
some of the affected offices are located in the maintenance section and
administrative building of the court.
It was also learnt that the hoodlums tied the guards on duty with
ropes and beat them severely. One of the workers told our correspondent
that the amount of money carted away was “substantial”.
The man also said that Ilesha High Court was burgled recently. He
said: “We believe those involved in this act will be apprehended. But I
can assure you that nothing, apart from money, was lost during the
incident.”
The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Ajibade
Egbedele, said the police had arrested some suspects in connection with
the incident. Egbedele the case was being handled by the State Criminal
