Boko Haram kills 35 in Gombe, Bauchi explosions

FEW days to the Christmas and New Year celebrations, a suspected female suicide bomber, on Monday morning, detonated a bomb, killing not less that 19 people at the Dukku Motor Park on the Federal College of Education (FCE) road in Gombe, the Gombe State capital.


Also, no fewer than 16 people were killed on Monday evening in a bomb blast that occurred at the busy Central Market in Bauchi.
Nigerian Tribune gathered that the Bauchi blast occurred a few minutes before 6.00 p.m. as the blast occurred in a shop where the bomb was planted.
In Gombe, the park was said to have been a beehive of activities due to high number of passengers travelling ahead the Christmas and Boxing Day holidays declared by the Federal Government.
The bomb blast, the Nigerian Tribune gathered, occurred at about 10.50 a.m., when the suicide bomber, who disguised as a passenger, entered the park with a bag loaded with explosives and detonated a bomb in a Sharon bus.
