Police in Ekiti State dashed the hope of two armed robbers to have a lavish Christmas celebration at the expense of other people.
The suspected robbers, Popoola Busuyi, 19 and Segun Adewale, 20, were arrested on Christmas Eve at the Government Reserved Area (GRA) in Ado-Ekiti. Busuyi and Adewale allegedly invaded Olaoluwa GRA on Ado-Ilawe Road, broke into houses and started stealing valuable materials before they were arrested.
The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr Victor Babayemi, said the suspects attacked and injured their victims with cutlasses, bottles and other dangerous weapons.
