One
Terfa Iornongo, believed to be a
thug of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been killed by his
colleagues over sharing formula at Benue State.
It
was gathered that the incident happened during the party’s primaries conducted
last Saturday to elect candidates to contest the forthcoming House of Assembly
election.
Trouble started
when the former caretaker Chairman of the local government, Mr Terhile Iorchir,
offered an undisclosed amount of money to the thugs.
But sensing that the deceased might
disappear with the money, the thugs mobilised and swooped on Iornongo,
collected the money from him and allegedly beat him to death. Grieving
relatives have accused lorchir of being the cause of their son’s death.
And more death will occur as the
2015 elections approach. If not poverty, inflicted on us by our so called leaders, why
would old men, who should know better, be fighting over money doled out by a
politician?
In Nigeria, every fool knows that 'our money,' doesn't mean 'your money.' If you try to take money meant for 'our money,' and convert it to 'your money,' others will not go easy on you.
