Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, has ordered the
immediate arrest of a man, who allegedly murdered a tenant at Akoka area
of Yaba, Lagos State.
The suspect, Makaku Oladele, was said to have
gone into hiding after committing the crime. The incident occurred at
38, Sholanke Street, Akoka.
The fleeing Makaku is said to be the son of the landlord, Mr Michael
Oladele. Angry friends and relatives reportedly burnt down Oladele’s
building last week since they could not find the suspect. Makaku was
alleged to have become a terror to residents in his father’s compound.
Residents alleged that the suspect belonged to a cult group and was
involved in robbery and extortion. Owoseni, who visited the compound
called ‘Ile Masanfani’ (a house of ill luck), was angry the house has
not been demolished.
