A 30-year-old man, Hassan Maikudi, was among six persons arraigned at
the Oyo State High Court sitting in Ibadan, on a four-count charge
bordering on armed robbery, kidnapping and possession of charms.
Maikudi
was said to have led some group of kidnappers to abduct his father,
Alhaji Idris Maikudi.
The gang reportedly collected a ransom of N1.5 million before
releasing the man. The accused were subsequently remanded in prison.
The man did not know his son was behind his abduction until policemen

arrested Hassan and others at their different hideouts.
One of the counts reads: “You, Abdullahi Mohammed, 35, Abubakar
