On January 6, 2016, a fourman- gang of armed robbers stormed different areas and streets in Lagos State. They unleashed hell, raiding residential buildings and hotels. Before their arrest, they had already raided seven areas of the metropolis.

The suspects robbed a hotel at Iju-Ishaga, and dispossessed all the guests in a hotel of their valuables before proceeding to Coker, Mile 12, Ijesha, Aguda, Masha and Randle Avenue in Surulere.
They were arrested around 3: 40am. They started their operation at the hotel at Iju-Ishaga where they collected N450,000, from a guest, identified as Frederick Banjo. They also took laptops and phones of hotel guests. They disappeared with Banjo’s car. Police later recovered the car and money. The gang members felt they were having a ball.
The last area they raided was Randle Road, Ojuelegba, Surulere. This was also the area where residents screwed up courage pursued and got them. It was at this area that a male resident tried to pin down one of the robbers. But determined to escape, the robber bit the man’s hand; biting like his life depended on it. But the man held tight until help came. Before their arrest, they had stormed Mile 12, where they attempted to rob a lady. One of them, Daniel Kuye, grinning from ear to ear, threatened to call his other gang members to rape the lady if she refused to suck his manhood.
