Two explosions rocked Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, on Wednesday morning reportedly killing about 22 people.
The explosives were borne by two female suicide bombers.
According to available information, the attack was carried out in
Ummarari village near Molai on the outskirts of Maiduguri metropolis in
Borno State.
The first attack targeted a mosque, while the second blast, about 50 metres away, occurred a few minutes later.
Twenty-two people were killed and 18 others sustained various degrees of injuries.
