FOLLOWING the spread of the infamous Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) and the fear
it is generating in many quarters, Nigerians have been called upon to have faith
in God and be rest assured that “God will intervene against the spread of deadly
diseases in the country.”
This was stated at a special meeting of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC)
worldwide, under the spiritual leadership of Reverend (Dr) P.I. Togbe, held on
Friday, 29th August, 2014, at CCC, Agbowo Parish, Ibadan, to shed light on
certain issues and chart a way forward for the church.
In his address, the cleric also called on the government to embrace
truthfulness, just as he prayed against the spread of deadly diseases in the
country.
While urging members to cooperate to ensure better propagation of the gospel,
he stated that, in the midst of various controversies rocking the church, the
church stood for unity. According to him, “This is a congregation of peace and
the leadership wants to encourage the participation of everybody. God is in
control.”
Also present at the meeting include: Prophet Rotimi Oladejo, Most Sup. Ev.
Victor Oyeleye, Most Sup. Ev. Tosin Otakoya, Most Sup. Ev. A.A. Quadri, Most
Sup. Ev. Awofeko, Most Sup. Ev. Okewunmi, Rev. H.O. Akerele and church leaders
from all over the country.
