Presidential Aspirant, under the All Progressives Congress(APC), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has stated that he is not a political prostitutes. This was even as he urged President Goodluck Jonathan to step up efforts towards ending insecurity in the country.
Atiku, who addressed APC delegates at his resident in Jos, Plateau State, asked for the supporters of APC members to vote out PDP in Plateau State and also to vote for him as the President of Nigeria come 2015.
He said he is "the most experienced politicians," amongst those aspiring for presidential position in Nigeria.
According to him, he will ensure that changes take place in plateau State and also in Aso Rock Abuja.
Atiku Abubakar donated N5 million for the party and N5 million to the elders of the party with N50,000 each to all the delegates. He promised them free accommodation and feeding while in Edo State. He appealed to the delegates to support the APC with any little contribution so that the party could win the forthcoming election.
He said: "I'm not a selfish politicians. I have shown love for this country's democracy, so nobody can stop my ambition as the presidential aspirant. But if I'm found guilty, then the party has the right to disqualify me not individual."
Pointing out that he was not a political prostitute, Atiku said: "I don't change party and even if I did, it's part of the beauty of democracy. I urge you to have a rethink Nigerians. I'm the most credible aspirant due to my past records as the vice president for over eight years. I know the tactics more than anybody today in the country."
Speaking earlier, the State Chairman of APC, Hon. Latep Dabang expressed happiness with the visit of Atiku, for also supporting the state chapter with N16 million during the just concluded local government polls . He promised that the party has what it takes to move to little Rayfield Government House that is under construction by the Gov.Jang in 2015.
Dabang assured the aspirant of APC of their support and promise to deliver the state delegates. Atiku challenged President Goodluck Jonathan to step up efforts to end insecurity in Nigeria.
