The throat of a mother of three was slit in home and her gullet taken by the unknown killers at Oke-Afa, Isolo area of the metropolis.
Mrs Martha Ifewulu, was murdered at No 45, Salau Aliu Street, Isolo, on Monday.

Nobody knew the woman had been murdered until her children returned from school to find her body on the staircase. Her throat had been slit. Some residents said they saw Ifewule that morning, while she was taking her children to school. Her husband was said to have left home around 10:30am for a business meeting in Mile 2 area of the metropolis.
It was gathered that the deceased told her husband she would like to relax at home for a while before heading to the Trade Fair Complex to stock her shop with Christmas wares. It was also learnt that Ifewulu was resting upstairs when the suspected assailants sneaked into the two-storey building and murdered her.
Deceased's home:scene of the murder
A resident said: “Unfortunately, when the three children who had gone to school in the morning came back, they rushed upstairs, eager to meet their mother. The elder among them, Ada, saw blood stains on the staircase, followed the trail and discovered her mother’s body.” It was also learnt that immediately Ada saw the body, she raised the alarm, which attracted the attention of the residents who rushed to the house.
Another witness, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said that he was inside his house when he heard noise outside. He said: “I saw people gather outside, shouting. Most of them were women and they were crying. That was how I came down upstairs. I went straight into the compound and saw a pool of blood on the ground. “Immediately, some youths and I took the children away from the house.
We kept them with some residents in the area, until their father was called on the phone. He was briefed about the development.” The witness also said that when the husband came; he said that he had been trying to reach his wife on phone. It was also learnt that policemen from Ejigbo, who came to take the body away, also quizzed the woman’s husband. Another resident, who also craved anonymity, said Ifewulu’s death was painful and strange.
She said: “I was in my shop, close to their house when I saw her while she was taking her children to school in the morning. I did not even know when she returned from the school. “I later saw her daughter shouting blood; that was how everybody went with the little girl into their house. “The people who killed must have been on the trail of the woman for long.
When you look at our street here in the afternoon, you will think you are in the Government Reservation Area (GRA), where everybody minded his business.”
