Ekiti: ‘Iyaloja’ detained over allegation of N93m scam

The leader of market women in Ado-Ekiti, Chief (Mrs) Waye Oso, was on Monday arrested and detained at the state police headquarters in controversial circumstances.

The market leader, who spoke on the phone from police detention at about 8.30 pm, claimed that she was arrested and detained on the orders of Governor Ayo Fayose.
Mrs. Oso said the governor ordered her arrest insisting she must produce over N93 million purportedly raked in from the shops allocated to market women by the Kayode Fayemi administration.

She said that she was picked up at her residence in Ekute area of Ado-Ekiti after some policemen had laid siege to her house.
