  Girl undergoing psychological, medical checks –Police

There were strong indications yesterday that Ese Oruru, the 14-year-old girl abducted from Bayelsa State, is about five months pregnant. 

Sources said the police authorities were treating the case with utmost caution, considering the complication which the alleged pregnancy has added to the abduction saga. 
It was learnt that the dress she wore on arrival at the Force Headquarters on Tuesday, was carefully chosen, to conceal the protruding stomach. But the Force Headquarters said yesterday that Ese was currently undergoing psychological and medical checks.
This is part of urgent measures towards her rehabilitation and reintegration into the society. 
The Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), Mrs. Olabisi Kolawole, an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), made the disclosure in Abuja. 
This was as the police, again, failed to present the victim before journalists at the Louis Edet House, which sources said was because of her alleged pregnancy.
