Though the situation was already under control when Saturday Telegraph visited yesterday, the casualty that emanated from the Mile 12 market clash in Lagos is huge.

Visiting the scenes would give one a vivid picture of what people had suffered, especially the Yorubas who couldn’t match the intimidating number of the Hausas.
They also claimed that security operatives chased them away with teargas and left the Hausas to damage their properties. During the visit, there was heavy presence of security operatives as such that it would take a mad man to cause further havoc.
Though the affected scenes were isolated or short of activities, the military men didn’t stop movement of people. The damages explain why people were still afraid to move freely and shops were under lock and key. Moses Ogunusi is still in pain.
When our corresponded visited him on sickbay at Dekind Hospital in Mile 12, he narrated how a group of Hausa men came to his room and nearly killed him. “I was at home when they came; they started to attack me right from my room. It was only God that said I would escape death.
They set my house ablaze, though the intention was to set me ablaze with it and it was not only my house they attacked. I stay at 34, Adegboyega Street. “I couldn’t see them because they painted their faces.
