*Abductors demand N15m
Imo State correspondent of Channels Television, Tope Kutegi was in the wee hours of Monday abducted from his residence by a seven-man gang of kidnappers.
The assailants, who had been perceived to armed robbers, broke into
the reporter’s residence through a barb-wired and electrified fence at
about 3am; immobilised the security man at the entry gate to the
apartment’s block before proceeding to batter the door and window
leading to Kutegi’s flat.
While the gunmen seized Kutegi at gunpoint, his neighbour was said to
have fled through the back exit. The hoodlums, however, drove Kutegi
away in the neighbour’s vehicle.
