Two men behead stepmother, brother

A 32-year-old man, Simon Nwibo of Alibaruhu village, Agbaja community in Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, has reportedly beheaded his stepmother, Mrs. Otubo Nwibo (60). 


Also, another man, Igwe Mkpuma (36), of Ndiawala village in the same local government area, allegedly beheaded his brother, Uguru Mkpuma, for reasons yet to be ascertained.
Both men are in police custody. In the Alibaruhu incident, Simon severed the head of his stepmother with a machete after a slight disagreement. A resident of the area, Paulinus Ikwuruma, said the late Nwibo had invited men of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to arrest the suspect following a disagreement.
He said on sighting the NSCDC men, the suspect dashed into his room and swooped on the officials. But, according to him, the NSCDC off escaped after which he descended on his stepmother.
