Four men, who used to burgle the Kaduna State
Government's Lodge have been arrested.
One of the suspects, Aminu Usman, 18, aka Aminu
Zola, is the leader of the gang and also a son to a staff in the State
Government House. There is also Shafiu
Rabiu, 18, Abu Umar, 18 and Ibrahim
Abbas 20.
The suspects were all arrested in Kaduna by
operatives of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Special Intelligence
Response Team, IRT.
The smashing of the gang started after IRT
operatives on Tuesday, receive complaints of missing Plasma Televisions, laptops,
Phones and other government properties in the Kaduna State House Lodge.
A police source said: “IRT operatives in Kaduna were
directed to swing into action. The
operatives tracked and arrested the four-man syndicate responsible for stealing
eight Plasmas Televisions, television hangers, Phones and other items. Suspects
have all confessed to the act and are helping IRT operatives to recover the
remaining stolen items.”
Police recovered two Plasma televisions, including a
Nokia phone belonging to a worker in the State House from the suspects.
