Gunmen snatch N30m at GTB, kill policeman

Four gunmen yesterday killed a mobile policeman who tried to stop them from robbing a customer of a Guarantee Trustee Bank (GTB) in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

The robbers, according to a witness, had trailed the customer to GTB by Rumuibekwe/ Shell RA Junction about 10:40 yesterday morning and opened fire on a yet-to-be named mobile policeman who was part of the security team outside the bank.
He said that the robbers, who stormed the bank in a black Toyota Corolla car, went straight for their target outside the bank when they collected the money from him.
The witness said that the robbers simply entered their vehicle after snatching the money while bank customers outside the bank ran helter-skelter.
He added that it almost disrupted the flow of traffic on Aba Road. The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Nnamdi Omoni, did not pick his calls to react to the robbery.https://newtelegraphonline.com/crime/metro/gunmen-snatch-n30m-gtb-kill-policeman/
