NSCDC personnel held over suspect’s death in custody

The Sokoto State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested six of its personnel in connection with the death in custody of a 38-year-old man, Jamilu Abdullahi. 

The state NSCDC Commandant, Muhammad Musa, said those arrested included the Divisional Officer and his men from Sokoto South Division where the deceased was detained. 
Musa promised that justice would be done in the case and any officer found wanting would not be spared.
