A 'heartbroken and devastated' woman who escaped death after her sister tried to burn her alive to cover up a £140,000 theft said she questioned whether she was doing the right thing supporting the police's investigation after it 'ripped her family apart'.

Cathy Bartlett, 30, of Hampshire, has been jailed for 25 years for stealing the cash from sister Rachael and then trying to murder her as she slept at their mother's home in Bartley, Hampshire.
Rachael Bartlett, 34, said the incident had caused rifts with her parents and that she loved her sister and 'always thought she loved me back'.
Tensions have become so bad that Rachael said her parents blamed her for her sister's imprisonment in her victim impact statement, and added she has no contact with them.
She said: ‘Since she was remanded in custody I feel she’s still manipulating people and trying to spread lies to people to muddy the water.
