Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, yesterday remanded in prison custody four
people arrested in connection with the death of the Managing Director of
the Lekki Free Trade Zone, Mr Tajudeen Disu.
The accused, Dele Jaiye
(40), Tunde Ismaila (27), Shakirat Agbaje (40) and Olalekan Oshinowo
(30), are facing a 12-count charge bordering on assault, murder,
conspiracy, attempted murder and unlawful gathering.
The Magistrate, Mrs
Folashade Botoku, ordered the accused to be remanded, pending legal
advice from the Office of the Lagos State Director of Public
Prosecutions (DPP).
Botoku, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), adjourned the
case to February 15, 2016 for the DPP’s advice. Disu was allegedly
killed on October 12, during an uproar between the management of the
zone and the indigenes of one of its host communities.
