A Kubwa Grade 1 Area Court, Abuja, on Tuesday sentenced a 28-year-old
man, Aminci Ishaku, to three months imprisonment for stealing a wheel
barrow.
The defendant, a resident of Kagini village, near Kubwa, was charged with theft, an offence he admitted committing.
The presiding judge, Mr Ahmed Marafa in his judgment, sentenced the
defendant to three months imprisonment with an option of N5,000 fine.
“For others, who are into this sort of business, this should serve as
a deterrent; we must not continue to receive such cases every day.
“I just hope people learn from others who have been caught,” he said.
