Men arrested for breaking into Deeper Life Bible Church



Three men have been arrested after they broke into a Deeper Life Bible Church at Moyesor Akodo area of the Ajah, Lagos State.


The suspects, Abdulahi Yusuf, 26, Kingsley Abdulahi, 24 and Alhaji Anass yunusa 33, were arrested in Akodo, by a team of police men from Akodo Police Station. The policemen were led by as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Raphael Adams.
According to the police, Yusuf brazenly broke into the place of worship and without batting an eye, carted away television sets, children chairs, loud speakers, wall clocks and stabilizers. He also allegedly stole several thousands of naira. He sold the stolen items to Yunusa for just N2000.
Yusuf told detectives that Yunusa had only paid him N1500, before they were arrested. Yunusa described himself as a scrap collector.

Police said that Yusuf’s gang was responsible for breaking and entering in the area in the past one year.
 Yusuf however debunked the allegation of the police, stressing that the breaking and entering into Deeper Life Bible Church was the first time he would be getting himself involved in stealing.
He confessed that he committed the crime because he was hungry and didn’t have a job.
 The Divisional Police Officer (DPO), in charge of Akodo, Mr. Adamu Idaya, a Superintendent of Police (SP) said that the suspects would be charged to court this week.
It was further discovered that Idaya has ordered his men to start raiding different hideouts in Akodo area, with a view of fishing out suspected hoodlums.
The idea is to stop the smoke out the hoodlums or scattered them before they foment trouble during the yuletide.
Idaya and his men have also started motorized and foot patrol of Eleeko Beach in order to tackle cases of attack on motorists in those areas.
