A resident of the area, who does not want his name imprint, told our correspondent that in the last two weeks, rustlers had killed 25 people in the area.
According to him, the rustlers returned again and killed 10 more people and carted away more than 200 cows from Kainu community.
The man disclosed that people in the area were now living in fear as some of the residents had started to flee from the village to other communities.
He said: “We appealed to the minister of Defence who is our son, to come to our rescue. Men of Zamfara Police Command are doing their best, but we need more hands to ensure safety in the area as our lives and property are in danger.”
