UNIDENTIFED gunmen have abducted the 80-year-old mother of an Assistant Commissioner of Police, Madam Rebecca Igbe.
Rebecca was kidnapped on Monday in her community in Omuse, Elele Alimini, in the Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State.
It was gathered that the octogenarian is
the mother of Mr. Batram Igbe, who is an Assistant Commissioner of
Police in Lagos State.
The gunmen, according to sources, had
stormed the area at about 9pm, shot sporadically before they went for
their target, who was in a shop opposite her house.
Rebecca was said to have appealed to her abductors, who insisted on taking her away despite her plea to be left alone.
