Police yesterday said they had recovered N7.5 million ransom from
suspected kidnappers in Ogun State.
The state Commissioner of Police,
Abdulmajid Ali, disclosed this while parading 11 suspected criminals at
the headquarters of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) Magbon,
Abeokuta.
The suspects were held in connection with kidnapping, armed robbery
and pipeline vandalism, among other crimes. Ali explained that the
suspects were picked up from Sagamu and Ijebu-Ode by Federal Special
Anti- Robbery Squad (FSARS) operatives during separate operations.
