A 16-year-old secondary school student, Raimi Fatai, has died in
controversial circumstances following his alleged involvement in a
money-making ritual in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
The incident, which has reportedly ignited panic in the school (name
withheld), has resulted in the arrest of three classmates of the
deceased by the police.
‘New Telegraph’ learnt that the deceased, with his three other
classmates, had gone to a native doctor to make “protection and fortune
charms” before the incident happened.
Sources said Fatai, who was in SS1 class, drank some liquid concoction
administered on him by the native doctor, who incidentally is the father
of one of his classmates.
