Secondary school student dies as money-making ritual goes awry

A 16-year-old secondary school student, Raimi Fatai, has died in controversial circumstances following his alleged involvement in a money-making ritual in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

The incident, which has reportedly ignited panic in the school (name withheld), has resulted in the arrest of three classmates ‎of the deceased by the police.
‘New Telegraph’ learnt that the deceased, with his three other classmates, had gone to a native doctor to make “protection and fortune charms” before the incident happened.
Sources said Fatai, who was in ‎SS1 class, drank some liquid concoction administered on him by the native doctor, who incidentally is the father of one of his classmates.
