Officials of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) in Lagos have recovered a
Toyota Camry with the registration number FKJ 555 CV stolen overnight
from where it was parked from a gang of car thieves.
The RRS also arrested a suspected member of the gang, John Godwin.
This came barely a week after the RRS recovered a Lexus Sport Utility
Vehicle (SUV). It was gathered that members of the four-man gang led by
one Ndubuisi, a spare parts seller, were accosted by the policemen at
3a.m. around Isheri-Osun on LASU/Iyana Iba Road towing the stolen car to
Berger bus stop in Mile 2.
Unlike, the Lexus car which was snatched at gunpoint in Okokomaiko,
Lagos, the Toyota Camry, Godwin said Ndubuisi invited him to come and
assist evacuate a broken down vehicle at Isolo area. He said: “I met
Ndubuisi at a hotel in Isolo about 10p.m. on Sunday.
