A 45-year-old herbalist, Musiliu, has
been arrested by the Ogun State Command Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) for preparing
charms for armed robbers.
The suspect was also accused by the
police of being the armourer for robbers.
According to the State Police Public
Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP, Muyiwa Adejobi said: “The SARS operatives,
working on a tip off arrested the herbalist. He was involved in several robbery
operations. A raid on the house of the herbalist on December 11, 2015, led
to the arrest of the herbalist at his house at Itunranikenken area of Sagamu.
Police recovered guns, ammunition and charms from his home.”
Meanwhile, Police Operatives
attached to Sagamu Division yesterday arrested one Kabiru Soyemi for cultism.
Soyemi was arrested after police responded to a distress call. Police further
said that the suspect was arrested just as he was about to attack his victim.
Police recovered one locally made pistol from him.
The Ogun State Commissioner of
Police, Abdulmajid Ali, commended the officers who carried out the operations.
