Eleven people have survived a Bristow helicopter crash that occurred
around the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, eyewitnesses have
said.
The crash has been confirmed by the Public Relations Officer,
South-West National Emergency Management Agency, Ibrahim Farinloye.
Farinloye also said emergency workers are already on the scene of the incident.
An official of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency said the helicopter was en-route Lagos from Port Harcourt.
“Bristow Helicopters (Nigeria) Limited, confirmed today that one of
its helicopters, was involved in a water landing near Lagos at
about 10.25 a.m. local time on return from an offshore platform,” a
press release from the aircraft company confirmed.
