2000 people were not killed in Baga attack, 150- Military

After much delay and scheming, the Defence authourities, have finally come out to claim that 150 people, not 2000 people were killed in the horrifying Boko Haram arrack on Baga on Saturday, January, 3.

The brutal and ruthless killings of the people living in Baga started after soldiers, who were supposed to fight and protect them, bolted at the sight of Boko Haram members in convoy of vehicles.
That wouldn’t be the first time such routing or abandoning of the civilians has occurred.
It is strongly believed that more than 2000 were slaughtered, but now, Director of Defence Information, Maj. Gen. Chris Olukolade, is claiming that 150 people including a large number of members of the Boko Haram sect were killed in the confrontation.
It's almost 150 people killed, should be applauded, instead of 2000. What is the difference between 150 and 2000 killed?
It is however doubtful if there was a confrontation. He said that many of the residents flee the area while the battle between the soldiers and the insurgents lasted.
Olukolade said that the figures being reported and attributed to eyewitnesses were exaggerated.
No matter what Olukolade said, its clear, Baga and its inhabitants are not being protected. Their lives have become more like candles in the wind.
The Nigerian military forces are not doing enough to safeguard the civilians and no thanks to the poor and abject Nigerian leadership failure.
