PSC promotes 10 Deputy Commissioners of Police, four senior officers

The Police Service Commission today, announced the approval and promotion of 14 Senior Police Officers, the summary of which by rank is as follows:

i.                    One (1) AIG to DIG

ii.                  Two (2) CP to AIG

iii.                Ten (10) DCP to CP

iv.                One (1) ASP DSP

Mr. Adeola Adeleke Adeniji was promoted from Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) to Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), while Mr Adenrele T. Shinaba and Ikemefuna R. Okoye were promoted from Commissioners of Police (CPs) to Assistant Inspectors General of Police (AIGs). The promotion is with immediate effect.

The Honourable Chairman Sir (Dr) Mike Mbama Okiro, IGP (Rtd), CFR, NPM, mni congratulated the newly promoted officers and enjoined them to live up to the expectations of the service.
