2000 master keys recovered from suspected car snatchers



Residents of the FCT, Abuja, can now heave a sigh of relief following the arrest of some suspected car snatchers who used to operate around the state. Over 2000 master keys were recovered from them.

According to the FCT police, the Anti-Car Theft Operatives, acting on a petition, arrested one ocheoga Adai, Nathan Hope, Isa Garba, Afam Ezechi, and Chibuzor Adubusin at Gwagwalada, Gwarimpa, Apo, and Garki, respectively, for conspiracy, aiding, fabrication of Keys and Car theft.
The police also said that some vehicles were recovered from the suspects. It is gathered that the suspects used the keys in move vehicles, not just where they were parked, but also snatched from victims.
The following exhibits were also recovered : Toyota Highlander, four Key cutting machines, some stolen Law Books, Key monitor and fabricated keys.
The suspects have since been arraigned in Court and remanded in Keffi Prison.
