Paris jihadis: drug smokers, petty criminals before being radicalised and police knew about their terror links for TEN YEARS

The two French brothers on the run from police after massacring 12 people in Paris were drug-taking petty criminals before being radicalised and sent to Yemen to train as killers.

According to the Dailymail, Said Kouachi, 34, and sibling Cherif, 32, are orphans who were brought up in a care home in Brittany, northern France, before turning to a life of crime and then ultimately mass murder.
The Dailymail said that Cherif’s own lawyer once described him as an ‘apprentice loser’, a hashish smoking pizza delivery driver who didn’t know what to do with his life.
Worryingly, their links to terror organisations have been known to authorities for ten years.
They were first picked up by terror police in 2005, around the same time Cherif appeared on TV claiming to be a rapper, when they were arrested over links to a group operating in northern Paris.
Cherif was arrested again in 2008 after trying to board a plane to Damascus with an AK-47 operating manual, while both were named on police papers in 2010 over a plot to break a known jidhadi out of jail.
