Security agents urged to synergise against terror

A security analyst has urged the Nigeria Police Force, Army, Navy, Air Force, Department of State Security Services (DSS) and others to sygnergise in order to defeat the Boko Haram and meet President Muhammadu Buhari’s December deadline for annihilation of the dreaded sect.

The security analyst, Folorusho Atta, commended the efforts of the army and police in the ongoing war with Boko Haram. He further gave a thumb up to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Solomon Arase, saying that the police under Arase have started waging serious battle against kidnappers and kidnappers in different parts of the country.
Atta opined that the current crime situation in the country, which was now being check, got to the level it was because of the intelligence failure on the part of former security chiefs. He noted what affected the police and hence contributed to crime surge in the country, was the picking and posting of policemen to sensitive positions, not because they were capable, but because of their ethnic and religious backgrounds.
Stressing that Arase is an officer full of ideas, Atta noted that Arase picked ideas and intelligence gathering in policing having worked with former IGPs like Mr. Tafa Balogun and Mr. Mike Okiro have.
Atta added: “Arase must have learnt so much from the two men he had earlier served as Principal Staff Officer (PSO). Arase is a master in intelligence gathering. This ideas to me, is helping in moving the police forward. It’s also reducing violent crimes in the country.”
Atta noted that with cooperation of the Army, Air force, Navy and the police, the president December deadline for the total   annihilation of Boko Haram would be very possible.
