An unidentified man yesterday died
after falling off a moving truck along the Ketu Bus Stop area of Ikorodu
Expressway.
The man was not only the person that
fell off the truck. A second man fell off, but he survived.
The truck,
which was loaded with tomatoes, was heading towards Mile 12 Market when the
incident occurred at about 6:30am.
An eyewitness
said: “I don’t know the cause of the accident, I only saw the driver, the dead
and injured men on the expressway. I saw the driver of the truck,
calling for help from some passers-by. But some of us went to him assist
in our own little way and left.”
A trader at Ketu Market, who simply
identified himself as Adedoyin said: “I observed that the two motor boys fell
off the back of the truck while sleeping. We did all we could to assist before
the arrival of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency who came and
evacuate the remains of the deceased.”
