Lagos CP leads night patrols

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr Fatai Owoseni, has started to personally lead policemen on night patrol of suspected flash points and criminal hideouts in the metropolis.

In one of such operations, nine suspects were nabbed by the Owoseni-led team on Lagos Island. “Four of the suspects were found to be night-crawlers.
The CP ordered their immediate release,” a police source said. It was reliably gathered that senior officers, such as anti-riot commanders, operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) and operatives of the Federal Bureau of Intelligence, are equally involved in the night patrol. An officer, who wished to remain anonymous, described Owoseni as a professional officer, who is giving criminals a hard time with his unique leadership.
