45 suspects picked from black spots in Lagos



Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) have arrested 45 miscreants at different black spots within the Lagos State metropolis.

The suspects were arrested in Oshodi, Jibowu, Victoria Island, Mile 2, Ajegunle, Ijora and Law school axis.
The Commander of the RRS, Assistant Commissioner of Police, (ACP) Olatunji Disu, said that the raiding of black spots was a directive from the State Government. He said that the government wanted to ensure a secured environment for prospective investors.
He said: “We’re ready to challenge and confront latest upsurge as directed. The Governor has given us marching orders to comb every black spot in Lagos. We’re not backing out. We have arrested 45 suspects. They were arrested during raids of different hideout. The arrest would be a continuous one as Governor Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode is determined to rid the state of criminals!”
Disu further said that the spate of armed robbery and criminal activities in the metropolis would soon be a thing of the past. He revealed that surveillance of some major black spots across the state has started.
